
DYONNE WILHELM, RN
Dyonne graduated from Luther College in 1994. She has proudly been a part of the organization for over 30 years. She previously held the positions as administrator of assisted living at Harwood Place and manager of staff education and employee health for both campuses. She has worked closely with state officials on the development of the WCCEAL program and Transitions in Care guide. She brings a level of expertise and knowledge that shows in her care and compassion for the residents and success of the program. She is a hands on nurse and leader. She is honored to be leading a team who is caring for the dearest individual in your life!

DANNIE ROMBCA, RN
Dannie is the RN Manager of The Lutheran Home Memory Care Assisted Living. She has been an RN for nearly 25 years working in the long term care setting. She has held varied positions, including a Director of Nursing position for 5 years prior to coming to The Lutheran Home. Dannie is very skilled in the area of dementia and Alzheimer’s with a focus on quality of life and allowing residents to age in place in order to better serve the needs of this growing population needing a Memory Care setting.

SYDNEY BUCK
Sydney is the Care Manager for Elaine’s Hope. After caring for her grandmother with Alzheimer’s disease, Sydney became inspired to enter the long-term care industry. Her passion for quality care and making a positive impact started by working in several memory care facilities as a caregiver and blossomed to obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from UW-Milwaukee. Sydney has experience in hospice and assisted living facilities. She brings both the elements of caregiving and administrative roles to the organization. As the Care Manager, Sydney handles the admissions, provides support to the residents and families, and works closely with the nurses and resident assistants.

ELIZABETH BUKOWY, DO
Dr. Bukowy is the medical director for Elaine’s Hope and Lutheran Home. She obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of Marquette in 2009 and DO at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL in 2014. She completed her Internship in Medicine Geriatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2014-2015, along with her Residency in 2015-2017. Dr. Bukowy works alongside Kim Jonas, NP, who is on site if needed Mon-Fri.

COOPER LEDVINA
As Program Coordinator of Elaine’s Hope, Cooper plans the monthly calendar and co-leads the daily activities. He believes in empowering residents in their daily lives, through their participation in activities, and in their own hobbies and interests. His experience includes planning and leading activities for independent, assisted, skilled, and memory care residents. As someone who has worked alongside residents throughout the continuum of care, Cooper has a talent for meeting residents at their level, and for creating activity programming that is both fulfilling and fun for individuals and groups. Before joining Elaine’s Hope, Cooper filled a variety of roles at another senior living community, including receptionist, driver, bartender, hospitality, sales/marketing, and copywriting. He finds working in memory care meaningful and values the insight residents share and the stories they tell.

STEPHANIE LEANES, CSW
Stephanie graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in social work with a focus in gerontology. She is a certified social worker and has worked with seniors with various forms of dementia as well as behavioral challenges for nearly 25 years. Stephanie’s primary role within the organization is to provide support, resources, education and peer connection to caregivers. Prior to her current role, Stephanie was the administrator of memory care. In addition to her caregiver support role, she oversees the adult day center and early memory loss program. Working with seniors and providing support to families is what she enjoys most about her job.
