Harwood Place is a part of Lutheran Home, a non-profit organization with an outstanding reputation of serving seniors for more than 100 years. Harwood Place Assisted Living is a social model that caters to those who need assistance with some activities of daily living but wish to remain as independent as possible. Should the need ever arise, Harwood Place Assisted Living residents have prioritized access to a wide variety of services, including: rehabilitation services, specialized memory care assisted living, skilled nursing, adult day services, children’s center and hospice care.

Harwood Place also has easy access for visiting family and friends, centrally located in the heart of Wauwatosa, minutes from the expressway.  (Get directions.)

 

Basic Service Plan

  • Assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, spa bathing, toileting, ambulation, dining
  • Medication management: administration of medications by staff
  • Health monitoring (i.e. ongoing monitoring of health condition by a licensed nurse; contacting a personal physician if condition changes)
  • Three nutritious meals per day, planned under the supervision of a registered dietician
  • Structured daily activity programs, including exercises, social events, community activities, games
  • Housekeeping services, including weekly cleaning of bathroom and suite and monthly deep-cleaning of suite
  • Laundry services, including weekly laundering of flat linens, towels, and personal clothing
  • All utilities including heat and electricity
  • Cable television
  • Scheduled transportation (church, medical appointments, shopping)
  • Attentive 24-hour on-site staff
  • Access to all community programming
  • Support of visiting professionals, such as a massage therapist or podiatrist, is available upon request at an additional charge.
