You have a wonderfully brilliant facility. My mom spent 3 weeks with you for Physical and Occupational therapy. What we experienced was nothing shy of exemplary. The Doctor, therapists, RN’s, aids and all other staff members helped my mom go from terribly weak to amazingly strong before our families eyes. Lutheran Home offers a dedicated 45-unit rehabilitation area separate from other service areas on the campus. The unit features all private rooms, which are fully decorated and furnished, in addition to common spaces for gatherings with other residents or family and friends. Each room also has a television and phone. Meals are enjoyed in a common dining area, when possible.

Pre-Admission for Scheduled Procedures
For people who have scheduled elective orthopedic procedures such as hip, knee, and spinal surgeries, there is an easy way to set up your rehabilitation needs ahead of time.
Why worry about the hassles of finding a place to recover after an orthopedic procedure? Lutheran Home offers pre-admission for people who would like to utilize our rehabilitation services. Simply call 414-258-6171 ext 272 for more information.
Why should you pre-admit?
- Ask all your questions ahead of time.
- Let us address any concerns you might have.
- Tour the building and become familiar with the therapy department.
- Take care of all the paperwork ahead of time.
- You do not have to worry about room availability. We will reserve your room to the best of our ability.
Therapy services are provided by licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants.
Our highly trained, personable, and skilled therapists treat many conditions such as:
- Unstable gait
- Joint replacements
- Fractures
- Musculoskeletal dysfunction

Speech-Language Pathology Services
Therapy services are provided by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists Certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.
Speech-Language Pathologists address many patient conditions including:
- Disorders of speech and hearing
- Problems related to eating and swallowing
- Early cognitive deficits
- Stuttering
- Training in lip reading
- Need for alternative communication systems
- Voice control
Therapy services are provided by Registered Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
The skills of the occupational therapist are used to assist the resident in areas including:
- Independence in activities of daily living
- Correct postures and seating
- Cognition and memory changes
- Need for adaptive equipment
- Energy conservation techniques
- Home safety evaluations
Lymphedema/Edema Care
Lymphedema is an accumulation of fluid that collects in the arm, leg or genital area when lymph vessels or lymph nodes are blocked or removed. The Lymphedema Center, a division of HealthReach, provides effective, compassionate treatment for this condition within long term care and assisted living facilities.Continence Care
HealthReach offers
state-of-the-art multimodality treatment of bowel and bladder incontinence.
Treatment is based on diet analyses, behavioral techniques, and computerized
biofeedback exercises to treat incontinence and other related problems.
Safe Living
This program is designed
to work closely with residents, families and physicians to assess an
individual’s
personal living environment and to make recommendations that will keep
them in their home, living both safely and independently, for as long
as possible.
