Centrally located in Wauwatosa at 76th Street and North Avenue, the Lutheran Home Campus provides a variety of services including: short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, specialized care for the memory-impaired, adult day services, skilled nursing and host hospice care on-site. Additionally, we offer community programs and a children’s center with intergenerational programming, benefiting young and old alike.

Hardt Hall is host to many activities.

Many activities take place in the Gathering Room.

The Courtyard Café is located on the first floor just west of the lobby for the convenience of our residents and their guests. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily soup and sandwich orders can be placed at the Café counter. Ice cream and dessert items are served between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Mondays and Fridays. A self-serve beverage cart with pastries is available in the Café from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.

The beauty shop, centrally located on the third floor, is open five days a week.

Lutheran Home Adult Day Services is committed to providing comprehensive programs and supportive services that promote dignity, independence and self esteem, allowing individuals to stay in their homes. Loved ones enjoy the socialization, yet are supervised in a protective setting. Caregivers feel good about getting some much needed time for work or to care for themselves.

Lutheran Home offers a dedicated 45-unit rehabilitation area separate from other service areas on the campus. The unit features all private rooms, which are fully decorated and furnished, in addition to common spaces for gatherings with other residents or family and friends.


Therapy services are provided by licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants. Our highly trained, personable, and skilled therapists treat many conditions such as:

• Musculoskeletal dysfunction
• Pain
• Stroke
• Neurological conditions
• Cardiac conditions
• Amputations
• Reduced endurance
• Balance dysfunction

Lutheran Home Memory Care Assisted Living provides compassionate care in an environment dedicated to the promotion of wellness and social enrichment. The Assisted Living program at Lutheran Home is designed to meet the specific care needs of those experiencing memory impairment. This program provides activities to enhance residents' lives and meets the extra security and care needs associated with memory issues.

The Lutheran Home Children’s Center was established in 1991 to provide the opportunity for employees to leave their children in a warm, caring environment. We wanted the best for our own children and have also made the center available to the community.

We believe we can strengthen each family, reducing stresses at home and at work, by providing high quality child care that recognizes each child as a unique individual created by God. We are also committed to the value of a multicultural and intergenerational experience for all children.
