Ways to Contribute/Be Involved Interest in Further Information
Lutheran Home Foundation Proudly recommends:
|
While many other long-term care facilities do not accept residents relying on Medicaid, or are quietly decreasing their Medicaid services, Lutheran Home's goal of continuing to deliver the best possible care for older adults — regardless of their ability to pay — demands that we work efficiently and innovatively, continually making improvements to processes, facilities and programs without incurring more debt. In 2010 alone, Lutheran Home provided nearly $4 million in unreimbursed charity care for residents who have outlived their resources. Without the generosity of like-minded friends and organizations, this would not be possible. Only if the Lutheran Home Foundation has substantial endowment and operating funds can Lutheran Home make good on its pledge to never turn an older adult away who needs health care services solely because of a lack of personal resources. As our population continues to age and government reimbursement declines, your support becomes even more important to the success of our Mission. It is our sincere hope that you will consider helping us help those who can no longer help themselves.
